- While we would love to accept all furniture donations, we have limited space, and ask that you provide a description and photos of the items prior to making the donation.

WHAT TYPE OF DONATIONS DO WE NOT ACCEPT?
It is hard to say “no thank you: to a donation when those donations help to fund LEAP programs. However, we do need to refuse some items and may be refused because it costs more to transport, repair or refurbish than it can be sold for in our store. Our workers are trained to know what we can and cannot accept, and will help guide you to other possibilities for donations we cannot use.
No pots or pans
No items that are broken, chipped, stained, ripped or not in good usable/working condition
No carpet or padding
No plumbing fixtures
No household chemical products
No personal care items or fragrance items
No mattresses/box springs
No car seats, walkers or cribs
No bed pillows
No personal/office computers, consumer electronics, office equipment or telecommunication equipment
No major appliances
No chain saws or any gas driven power equipment
No electric blankets, heading pads or portable heaters
No televisions (of any size), VCR’s, DVD players
- No children's clothing or shoes

Donations are accepted at the boutique Monday through Friday, from 11am to 7pm, Saturdays from 11am to 6pm, and Sundays from 11am to 5pm.

ARE MY DONATIONS TAX DEDUCTIBLE?
All items donated are deductible for income tax purposes to the extent allowed by law. Valuations of gifts in kind are the responsibility of the donor as the Dragonfly Thrift Boutique does not set a valuation on your donation. It is up to you to assign a value to your item. For your records, the Dragonfly Thrift Boutique Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 27-0193483.
The Dragonfly Thrift Boutique will provide a donation receipt to donors for income tax purposes. Receiving donations of product valued greater than $500 requires donors to complete IRS Form 8283. https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8283.
