“The Maritza” is named after one of the LEAP graduates who helped bring the More Than Project to fruition. "The Maritza" calls on us all to break through our own stigma towards people who have experienced incarceration. "The Maritza" also celebrates every formerly incarcerated woman who transcends her past, thereby breaking through the chains of the judgement and stigma that society uses to punish and repress her long after she has served her sentence. "The Maritza" calls for the deliverance of every woman who has experienced incarceration who is more than her past and celebrates her freedom.

Safe and affordable housing is a major challenge for women transitioning from prison. Located within walking distance from the Dragonfly, the LEAP House provides a sanctuary to our graduates, so that on the day they walk from prison into freedom, they have housing, employment and community.

Post-release Employment Training

Dragonfly provides a first job post-prison through our employment training program. Through Dragonfly, LEAP gives women the opportunity to gain the skills and confidence they need to transition into their next phase of life.
